The life cycle starts when the baby cub is born. A giant pands life span is 18-
20 years in the wild and may live in zoos for more than 30 years. Also the final
stage in the life cycle is there death. Every panda dies after a few months or
years old .

A giant panda almost has the same life cycle as its mother. There life cycle beginning
when the new baby cub is born. The baby cub cannot see also it cannot walk on it feet.
So the mother has to carry the baby cub around in her hands because it can not walk.
It also cannot eat but it can drink and it drinks its mothers milk. The cub depends on
its mother for everything it does . Also did you know it takes 6 to 8 weeks for the baby
cub to open its eyes.

When a panda cub is born it is extremely small and it does not look like its
mother. They are very different . The panda cub has no teeth . It also has pink
skin and only a little fur . After two weeks ,the cubs skin turns grey . Black
areas appear around its eyes and shoulders . After a few days the cubs front
legs turn black and more fur grows on the cubs body . After six weeks , the cub
looks more like an adult .

When baby pandas are born after their 3
rd
month they start to grow teeth .It
still feeds on milk ,but it can now eat soft bamboo shoots .At 8 months or 9
months the cub has strong teeth and jaw muscles .It also stops drinking milk
and eats bamboo shoots ,fruits ,grasses and some insects .
